Hi Richard …been away annoying the midlanders..glad you thought we made a good contribution to the festival..it had a really nice feel about it.
Massive thanks for a wonderful weekend. All good wishes Clare, Andrew, Rosie & Henry (Sambrook).
2013 was our first Music on the Marr but, we hope, the first of many. We have already “booked” 2014 with our friends in Farlam (we live near Lincoln). Thank you for a great weekend.
Again, well done to you and all the others who put their time in. It is a great example of a festival which is really serious about the music, and you really made it friendly and welcoming for everyone who attended. Dan and I were talking about next year, and doing some more in depth planning for the technical stuff next time. Especially given the calibre of the acts you mentioned on the Sunday night. I’m sure he will talk to you about that.
Hi Richard, Festival was superb thank you! Amy says yes to the vid so no prob there. Hope you’re well,
Many thanks for allowing me to have a stall at this years festival it was a great turn out and nice to see so many people in castle carrock . Thankyou also for inviting me to use a portion of the ticket tent to set up this was most helpful , well done all and thanks for a great festival.
Just wanted to say brilliant weekend last weekend. I know the weather was wonderful but great organisation great beer and food also Campsite good.
My kids cannot stop playing the Gilmore/ Roberts cd we bought . We also loved Manran on Friday night and Roy bailey, the African acapello singers and roger Davies. Ursula’s story telling in the church was lovely as she was herself! Best of a really good bunch for us were Martin Simpson and Andy Cutting. Both brilliant but don’t tell him that I’d been telling them all week we mustn’t miss this fantastic folk guitarist Martin Carthy! Oops! Please keep up the good work and as a first timer this year I can’t wait till next year already. All the best.
Thanks very much for Sunday from all of Legs Levens, we had a great time. Thank you also for looking after us so well – the refreshment vouchers were gladly received as were the bottles of water after we’d danced! It’s a great event and please keep us in mind for future years! Thanks again.
Hi Richard. The photo’s are brilliant and captured the atmosphere very well.
Once again well done to you and all organisers/helpers involved for such a fabulous weekend and to top it all the Sun God was smiling on the event too…how amazing!
Please keep my name down for stewarding at next years event. I am sorry I am missing tonight, I would be interested to hear any feedback.
Hi Richard, Have spoken to Kristina and Les. They both thought that Music on the Marr was brilliant! Hope you managed to enjoy it and it all went smoothly.

Hi Richard. Thanks again for having me. I had a great time and loved your audience. Feel free to post the video. I’ve already shared it to my facebook page /labyrinthfire I hope you’ve recovered from the packdown. Hopefully see you next time.
Thank you for this great festival …I really enjoyed every minute of it ,not to mention the weather! A bientot,
Sorry to miss you all. We’re off to Womad tomorrow night. Wish it didn’t involve traveling like our nice local MOTM! Give my warm wishes to the stewardhood tomorrow night.
Hi Richard. Just a quick line to re-inforce what I hoped that I said to you on Sunday evening.
Music on the Marr was an absolute pleasure, a very very special event. Very few things that I have been to can compare with the friendliness and warmth that filled everywhere. I am so very grateful to you for organising it and giving me the opportunity to be a part of it a small way. I would feel very lucky indeed if you wanted and gave me the chance to be involved again in the future. All the best.

A huge thank you to 99.9% of you who were very patient whilst queuing at the bar in The Duke.! It was a tad hectic at times !! also a massive thank-you to all our staff, we couldn’t have survived the weekend without them!! We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend thank you Richard , all the stewards and anyone else that helped
Mel Martin and AJ
Hi all, Very sorry I can’t make Thursday – but echo Jean’s sentiments entirely. I’ve sent some thoughts to Richard, but overall I thought it was a fab weekend. Thanks to everyone who stewarded at the church with the added responsibilities there – we raised £298.96 in the buckets, which is a fantastic amount to boost the coffers of the restoration fund. Thank you!
Music on the Marr was bloody fantastic!! I feel like a close friend has died, now that it’s over for this year. Honestly, it was soooo good. Of course the weather helped the general atmosphere, but it was a masterpiece from beginning to end. Wish I could play it all back in slow motion. Well done you…I know you don;’t do it all on your todd, but without you it wouldn’t happen and the world would be a poorer place. Thank you.
Thanks for a great festival Richard, and to everyone concerned for all their hard work
Mary Kipling and Bob Mayow
Many thanks for inviting Blueflint along to perform as part of Music on the Marr this year. We had a great time, and the band think you’ve got a great festival on the go! We hope you’ll have us back again in the future. With best wishes,
Richard and Tom. On behalf of all of us that volunteered our services to help out at MOM both before, during and after can I say a very BIG THANK-YOU for all the hard work you put in to ensure we enjoyed such an excellent time, working, unpaid, in sweltering heat, with so many happy and cheerful people. To those of you that had to put up with me nearly always having a baby (Natacha) attached to my left arm thanks for your understanding. It was very much appreciated. She seemed to enjoy it all and as I said to many she is part of the future of live music and we have to start them young!Role on next year! Mine’s a Pint.
Philip T Tuer – SteamAle
I agree with Phillip entirely…well done to Richard and all organisers…it was a pleasure to do my part as a steward. It was also a pleasure to coo over Natacha! I quite like the Irish spelling of Thursday! Be seeing you
I thoroughly enjoyed the 24+ hours at Music on the Marr – it was brilliant, stunning…. and you and everyone else did a wonderful job. Hope that today has been good too – I am sure it has.
I had a wonderful time at MOM, it was such a lovely way to kick off my summer…not to mention it was wonderful to meet yourself and Stew. I’d love to be a part of next year’s MOM too.
Hi all – have a look at Jess Morgan’s round-up of Festivals, especially paragraph 3 – she’s right of course it was an amazing weekend.
Another highlight of this summer has to be Music On The Marr up in Cumbria – simply the best atmosphere I’ve ever witnessed at a festival – so friendly and so much good music.
Bloody brilliant weekend again Richard – MOM goes from strength to strength. Enjoyed every minute like usual, …….. Kristina Olsen and The Mighty Doonans, what an amazing ending huh?!! Still desperately trying to get all my pics labelled up!
